      1. Gates Hall

         One of the north residence halls, Gates Hall houses students of all class years. It has two lounges, a kitchen, and a trunk room in the lower level, with easy access to laundry facilities and computer labs in neighboring halls.

         
         The hall is named after Grinnell’s second president, George Augustus Gates, who was president from 1887 to 1900. The Gates and Rawson Towers are an iconic view of Grinnell and reflect a Gothic motif.
