The
Grinnell College Golf Course is a multiuse event space open to the public and used by the
Grinnell Pioneers golf teams. It hosts reunions, receptions, retreats, and tournaments, and golfing, dog walking, running, sledding, cross-country skiing, and fishing are welcome activities. All leagues and tournaments are open to the public.
The facility has the following venues:
- The course: The course is laid out in a manner that respects the traditions of golf, yet utilizes modern technologies and equipment to create a unique golf experience. The course is not long, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Tee shots hit in the fairways will be well-rewarded, however age-old trees and lush rough are always welcome recipients of your golf ball. 56 acres of green space features 34 teeing areas.
- The clubhouse: The upper floor of the clubhouse houses a reservable event center that can host parties up to 200. A pro shop and pub on the lower level offers apparel, merchandise, food, and drink.
- The pools: Season and daily passes are available for open swimming, water aerobics, and swim lessons in the a larger lap and leisure pool and kiddie pool for toddlers and younger swimmers.
