Mehalso Observatory, a fourteen-foot Ash dome, features a Meade 16-inch telescope equipped with computer control and a CCD camera. A second dome houses a Meade 12-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.
The two domes are used for public viewing during the
School of Science's popular Open House Nights in Astronomy, and for undergraduate research by science students.
