   1. Academic Projects

      The Academic Projects building, located on Bigler Road, was built in 1963 and is shared by the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and the College of Engineering. Housed in this building are offices and research labs for researchers associated with the EMS Energy Institute. The Penn State Coal Sample Bank and the Argonne Premium Coal Sample Bank are also located in this building, as are offices and class laboratories for Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. Environmental Health and Safety's  Radiation Protection Office also is housed here.
