Henderson Building, adjacent to Old Main, was built in 1933 and is named after Grace Henderson, director of the Department of Home Economics and later the first female dean at Penn State when the department became a school.
Several
College of Health and Human Development Dean's Office units are located in Henderson Building, including the offices of Communications and Marketing, Diversity and Inclusion, and Outreach, as well as the
Center for Student Advising and Engagement, located on the ground floor.
The Social Science Research Institute is also located in Henderson, in addition to several classrooms and laboratories.
