The Bryce House was constructed in 1892 to serve as a residence for superintendents of the former Bryce Hospital. The structure burned in 1911 and was rebuilt on its original foundation in 1913. After the completion of an extensive restoration effort in 2021, the historic building now holds events and meetings for the University of Alabama System and its institutions, including The University of Alabama, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the UAB Health System.
