        Department of Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods

        The Department of Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods goal is twofold: first, to provide the foundational quantitative skills that are necessary for all students in business to succeed; and second, to prepare the next generation for successful careers in one of the fastest growing job segments today: Information Technology.

        Department of Finance and Economics

        The Department of Finance and Economics is responsible for instruction leading to bachelor of business administration degrees with majors in both finance and economics, as well as the bachelor of arts degree with a major in economics. A minor in international business is also offered through the college. In addition to major courses, the department provides supporting courses in finance, economics and business law for the McCoy College of Business Administration, and for the university at large.

        Department of Management

        Balancing a focus on theory and practice, the Department of Management have developed a management curriculum which includes a wide variety of courses in business communication, entrepreneurship, human resource management, international and cross-cultural management, operations management, organizational behavior, and strategy.  In addition, special topic courses allow our faculty to offer in-depth examination of a number of contemporary business issues such as organizational change, management of new product development, training and development, and business creativity and innovation. 


        Department of Marketing

        The Department of Marketing offers one of the most popular majors at Texas State. We take pride in providing a high quality bachelors degree in marketing that graduates skillful and knowledgable marketers who successfully serve their customers.
