The Law Center is home to the School of Law at the University of Alabama and the Bounds Law Library.  The building houses classrooms, faculty offices, the law records office, a large selection of legal documents, a computer lab, and a courtroom.

The Library contains a replica of UA alumnus and US Supreme Court Justice Hugo L. Black's office and home library. Also located in the library are the Howell T. Heflin Conference Room and the John C. Payne Special Collections Room. Also available in the building is the Law School Cafe.

The Law Center, which opened in 1978, was designed by architect Edward Stone, who also designed the New York Museum of Modern Art. The School of Law has previously resided in Farrah Hall, and before that in Manly Hall. The Law Library was located in Morgan Hall before moving to Farrah and then the Law Center.
