        The first floor contains the success space for engineering student projects teams including the Alabama Rocketry Association , the ASCE Concrete Canoe Team, and Crimson Racing, the Formula SAE team. 

        The second floor contains the offices for the Freshman Engineering Program and Technical Services along with faculty offices, classrooms and a student lounge. 

        Hardaway Hall also has a water tunnel facility and a wind tunnel lab, containing a supersonic wind tunnel (Mach 2) and a new sub-sonic wind tunnel. The James Massey Hire Jr. and Mildred Ray Hire Design Clinic Laboratory are also located in the building. 

        Hardaway Hall, which was completed in 1936, is named for Col. Robert A. Hardaway who became the university's first full-time civil engineering professor in 1882.
