The Mal Moore Athletic Facility, built in 1985 as the Football Building, contains the football coaching staff and athletic administration. In addition to offices, the facility includes meeting, equipment, and locker rooms, as well as a state of the art weight room and training room. The Crimson Tide's 8,400 square-foot weight room has the latest in weight and conditioning equipment. The building also has the Naylor Stone Media Room which is used to hold press conferences about UA's athletics. In 2003, construction plans were made for an addition to the structure and in 2006 the building was named after the then current UA Director of Athletics, Mal M. Moore. The facility is currently undergoing renovations to add a theater style whole team meeting room, position meeting rooms, as well as updated team locker room and lounge.
