Startup Aggieland
Startup Aggieland is a facility operated by the McFerrin Center For Entrepreneurship (MCE) at Mays Business School. A globally-recognized, award-winning, job creation program disguised as a multidisciplinary business incubator and accelerator, Startup Aggieland was founded by three colleges, represented by four faculty members, one administrator and a dozen undergraduates. Startup Aggieland also offers free office and coworking space as well as free parking and WIFI. In 2017, we will add a makerspace within our facility. Startup Aggieland's Incubator program is faculty-driven while our Accelerator program is mentor-driven. Access to the McFerrin Mentor Network and our 12 Entrepreneurs-in-Residence is a key value of participation. Startup Aggieland is ranked favorably by UBI-Global, exact rankings TBA in 2018. Startup Aggieland was ranked at #14 among the Top 20 in GUST's 2016 Global Accelerator Report, released internationally on August 1, 2017. A testimony to the American Dream, our programs accept early-stage entrepreneurs and client companies that want to change the world and create value where none previously existed. Students, staff and faculty -- as well as former students -- are eligible to apply for mentoring and resources at Startup Aggieland. Our education-based program for undergraduates helps them to develop entrepreneurial mindsets.
