The Roughneck, 1991 Located in front of the Petroleum Engineering Bldg. By Rosie Sandifer (b. 1946) bronze This life-like sculpture depicting an oil field worker includes the actual chain used to control the 20-foot drill pipe and tri-cone rotary drilling bit. A gift of Mrs. Susan Richardson, this piece was commissioned to commemorate the dedication of the petroleum engineering building.
