Appelt Residence Hall
Appelt Hall is named after Leslie L. Appelt '41 and was constructed in 1989. Mr. Appelt served in WWII as an operations officer, and then became a real estate developer in Houston, Texas. He is a trustee of Texas A&M's Development Foundation. In addition, 'Les' served as president of the Former Student Association in 1971 and on the board of trustees from 72-89. Philanthropy has been a main objective of Mr. Appelt, as he has given $3 million to the University, with a stipulation in his will for an additional $5 million.Modular style halls feature rooms with a private bathroom shared by two roommates. "The Mods" offer a small close-knit community feel while still offering easy access to our campus hubs on both the Northside and Southside of campus.
