Texas A&M softball will have a new stadium to call home after the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents approved construction in April of 2016.Located at the corner of Tom Chandler Road and Penberthy Road, the $28.6 million project is scheduled to be completed in 2018.“I am thrilled we are moving forward with our plans to construct a new stadium,” head coach Jo Evans said. “I appreciate the support of our past and current athletics administration, President Young, and the Board of Regents. We have waited a long time to be in a position to build a state-of-the-art facility, and I am grateful to have Director of Athletics Scott Woodward, Senior Associate AD for Facilities and Construction Kevin Hurley and Senior Associate Athletics Director, CFO and Sport Administrator Jeff Toole in support of the project and committed to building a first-class facility.”
