    1. Hagler Center - Texas A&M Foundation

The Jon. L Hagler Center is home to the Texas A&M Foundation, a privately governed, nonprofit corporation whose mission is to provide private financial support for Texas A&M University. Built at a cost of $13.8 million, the center was funded entirely by former students and friends of Texas A&M. At the opening of the Hagler Center in 1999, Foundation Chairman Caroll Phillips '54 invited employees, donors and other guests to write a short message to Aggies of the future. Their notes are kept in the Hagler Center time capsule, which will be opened on the Foundation's centennial in 2053. The Hagler Center provides offices and meeting areas for Foundation administrators and staff, but more important, it's a central location on campus to recognize and celebrate philanthropy. Pillars in and around the building are engraved with donors' names, standing in a literal testament of appreciation.
