        HISTORY
Fiske Hall is the oldest building on Wichita State University's campus, The building was named for Mrs. Charlotte M. Fiske, who generously contributed funds for the construction of the building in the early 1900s. The cornerstone for the building was laid on the morning of October 29, 1904. Fiske Hall was originally constructed to be a boys dormitory for around 70 young men and was first occupied in the fall semester of 1905.

In 2019, work was completed on a major overhaul of the structure that included a new elevator wing and a complete renovation of the interior. The building was rededicated on May 3, 2019.

Fiske Hall currently houses the departments of history, geography, philosophy and some international programs.
