The nation’s future Olympic rowers will call Trent University home, as Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) announced Trent as one of five university NextGen Hub partners selected to identify and train high-performance rowers to compete for Canada at the highest levels of the sport.

Rowing is embedded into the sporting culture of Trent University. The University’s enduring history of excellence in the sport, together with its long-standing partnership with the Peterborough Rowing Club, were instrumental in Trent being selected as one of five RCA hubs.

Future Olympians in the program will also benefit from Trent and Peterborough’s second-to-none rowing setting on the banks of the Otonabee River and state-of-the-art training facilities at the Trent Athletics Centre, including indoor rowing/paddling tank. Here, athletes will benefit from an unparalleled opportunity to combine high performance training while studying at Ontario’s number one undergraduate university.
