The Environmental Science Complex is designed in the form a dragon. From the front of the building, the head of the creature can be seen breathing flames of knowledge. The exterior of the building forms the dragon’s body and wings. In the centre of the complex is a staircase designed to be its ribcage. Each of the ribs, like the notes in a xylophone, declines in octave. The Environmental Science Complex also houses a rooftop garden which helps to provide food for Trent’s student-run cooperative eatery, the Seasoned Spoon, located in Champlain College.
