    1. Champlain College

At Champlain College, we know the importance of balancing academic excellence with a loud and proud atmosphere. We're the oldest college on the Symons Campus, which means we've got a lot of tradition and heart. With an emphasis on active living and global thinking, our "Chamily" values discovery, adventure, reflection and engagement in all aspects of university life, whether it's in the classroom or on the ice at our annual broomball tournament.

Named in honour of the explorer Samuel de Champlain, the college is situated right on the bank of the Otonabee River.  Champlain’s spirit of adventure, discovery, and global citizenship are captured in the college motto:  “continuer mes decouvertes”, “continue my discoveries”. That spirit lives on in the programs, people, and architecture of Trent’s Champlain College.
