      1. Earth and Engineering Sciences

        The Earth-Engineering Sciences Building, located on White Course Drive off of North Atherton Street, is shared by the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and the College of Engineering. The building, built in 2000, contains standard and interactive classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, offices, lounges, conference rooms, a lecture hall, and a computer center.

        It houses the College of Engineering’s Department of Engineering Sciences and Mechanics and the two of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences’ institutes: Earth and Environmental Systems Institute, one of the nation’s leading institutes in earth and environmental sciences research, and the: John A. Dutton e-Education Institute, a leader in distance teaching and learning at Penn State.
