The Arboretum at Penn State has rapidly become a favorite destination for the community and visitors since its opening in 2009. The H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens are the front door to the 370-acre Arboretum, and include many beautiful features of interest to both the academic and the casual stroller.
Dedicated to excellence, the Arboretum strives to be a place of beauty and renewal, a venue for the arts, and a pathway to discovery and enrichment. The gardens are continually added to and improved upon as private donations permit.
