Mateer Building opened in 1990 and is home to the
School of Hospitality Management, founded in 1937.
Cafe Laura, in Mateer, is a "living lab," where students gain experience in the wide range of skills and techniques that are normally associated with the duties of a hospitality manager, including always popular student-run theme dinners. Kings Espresso bar serves Starbucks Coffee and Penn State Bakery pastries.
