      Historical Info:

Graham Hall was originally known as “Dorm 79.” In 1985, the building was renamed Graham Hall in honor of Frederick B. Graham, who played an instrumental role in the development of Wilmington College. Mr. Graham was a member of the original Board of Trustees for Wilmington College (1958-1969) and served as Chairman of the Trustees from 1968-1969. Mr. Graham served as Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee and was instrumental in locating the campus at its present site on College Road, choosing the modified Georgian architectural style of the buildings on campus, and beautifying the grounds. In 1962, Mr. Graham took the lead in establishing the Foundation, a corporation through which contributions could be made to the college. Mr. Graham made the first contribution to the Foundation, for "the purpose of encouraging deserving faculty members to improve and upgrade their faculty status."
