This is a 22,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that includes a planetarium, observatory and the Challenger Learning Center, part of the national Challenger Learning Center network. The center’s goal is to promote hands-on learning and STEM skills among students of all ages. The building is named for the family of Space Shuttle Challenger Commander Francis R. (Dick) Scobee and his widow, Dr. June Scobee Rodgers, a former SAC student.
