Atherton Hall houses the offices of the Schreyer Honors College and is also an honors housing dormitory. Named in honor of Frances Washburn Atherton, the wife of former Penn State president George Washington Atherton, Atherton Hall was erected in 1937. It became the home of the Schreyer Honors College in 1997.
