Opened in 2004, the Westgate Building is home to the
College of Information Sciences and Technology and the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the
College of Engineering.
The Westgate Building, known as the Information Sciences and Technology Building until 2016, houses faculty offices, research labs, collaborative space, a cafe, and more than 20 classrooms, including the 155-seat Cybertorium.
The building is known for its distinctive S-shaped bridge that spans nearly 1,000 feet over North Atherton street, a design modeled after the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy.
