26 - “Hawaiian Music in Movies & TV: Eddie Kamae"
Did you know for the past three years, the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles has installed a Hawaiian music themed exhibit at the Center in conjunction with the Na Hōkū Hanohano Awards?
2018's exhibit is entitled “Music of Waikīkī – The Legendary Homes of Hawaiian Music” and is located on the third level and showcases items from entertainers that headlined some of Waikīkī’s famous showrooms and venues such as the Monarch Room and Waikīkī Shell, in addition to lounges that no longer exist such as the Prow Lounge (now Rum Fire)and the Outrigger Waikīkī Main Showroom (now Blue Note Hawai‘i).
