Built in 1972, the Land and Water Research Building is home to the Penn State's
Institutes of Energy and the Environment (IEE)
, the
Sustainability Institute
, and
PASDA (Pennsylvania Spatial Data Access)
. IEE's staff provides support for Penn State faculty and researchers working on projects related to energy and the environment.
The Sustainability Institute's staff manages programs focused on educating others on sustainability and infusing sustainability throughout the University and beyond, including in the areas of academics and operations, The building houses office space, as well as the
Water Quality Laboratory
and the
Accelerator Mass Spectrometer Laboratory
