The Pavilion Theatre, built in 1915, is a key venue for the
Penn State School of Theatre. Designed by architects Frank Miles Day and Charles Z. Klauder, it originally served as a livestock judging arena. Today it is a 222-seat flexible arena/thrust performance space featuring a 288-dimmer-per-circuit lighting system, a state-of-the-art sound system, and a stage-sized studio directly under the stage, used for rehearsal and classwork.
