Over the past 8 years, Facilities Management has purchased six Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles, 13 electric vehicles, and 128 E-85 capable vehicles (85% alcohol & 15% gasoline) for a total of 147 alternative fuel vehicles, equivalent to roughly 45% of the entire fleet. In addition, Grounds and Waste Management has purchased several lawnmowers that run on propane fuel and all-electric hand tools for work in ecologically sensitive areas.
