Hobart Quadrangle
On a sunny day (and often on not-so-sunny ones, too) there's always something happening on the Quad. The traditional center of the old Hobart campus, the Quad began to take shape in 1885 when the library, later known as Demarest Hall, was built. In 1900, it became better defined with the construction of Coxe Hall, followed closely by Williams Hall and Medbery Hall. The Quad is best known for the events it hosts, be they formal-Commencement, Reunion-or informal, such as pick-up games of lacrosse and softball, or simply tossing a football or snowball.
