Located at 645 S. Main St., The Community Engagement House will work closely with the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning to form a core group of students involved in service with the wider community. Washington Monthly has recently ranked HWS 1st nationally for service and having a theme house dedicated to this core value of HWS can help in upholding this acknowledgement in the coming years. Living in a service-oriented community inspires students to give back, creating a ripple effect that extends to the wider student body through personal connections. This house is dedicated to embodying HWS’s mission to live lives of consequence, have a positive impact on the student body and further develop close relationships with our Geneva community. The Community Engagement House can accommodate up to 14 students through five doubles and four singles. Residents of this house our required to complete 10 hours of community service per semester.
