Located on the William Smith Hill, Hirshson Hall is home to 75 first-year students. Hirshson Hall has a full ballroom/classroom on the first floor and it is often used by groups for meetings and events. Students love the experience of residing in Hirshson Hall because it provides the unique experience of the William Smith Hill Neighborhood and residing near many Upperclass students. Hirshson Hall opened in 1962 and was named after the Reverend Louis Melbourne Hirshson, who served as president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges from 1956 to 1966.
