Geneva 2020 House
Located at 639 S. Main St., The Geneva 2020 house seeks students committed to service, educational equity, and youth empowerment. House residents will complete a 30 hour per semester service requirement, the majority of which will come from direct engagement with Geneva?s children and public school system. The Geneva 2020 collective impact initiative has three goals: improving literacy, improving the graduation rate, and fostering career and college readiness. Students will also participate in the LEAP initiative (Lead, Excel, Achieve, Progress), which aims to support young people of color in their academic achievement. The Geneva 2020 house will have a close working relationship with CCESL (the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning). Residence Requirements: Participate in a minimum of 3 hours of volunteer service per week. Students accepted to live in the house will be part of a partial co-op in order to prepare one meal per week as a house.
