        Built in 1950, the Library was renamed in 1980 in honor of Dr. Ruth Ann Musick. Musick was the primary female folklore scholar to preserve and perpetuate the cultural heritage of West Virginia, mainly through the recording of supernatural legends. Even in the technology age, the library is a hub of activity on campus. In addition to the welcoming and devoted staff, the facility offers computer lounges, Starbucks coffee bar, group study space, 50,000 e-books, 150 databases containing millions of articles, and virtual reference by online chat support the educational process.
