University Park is a 367 acre regional educational and recreation area owned and operated by California State University Channel Islands (CI). The park provides educational and recreational opportunities open to all through habitat restoration activities, maintenance of open spaces, and development of ecological, cultural, and recreational facilities and programs.
The Park is generally open and accessible seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. The topography of the park includes steep mountain slopes of coastal sage and southern cactus scrub, wetlands and riparian habitat, and two small valleys. Calleguas Creek flows along the northern border of the park.
