      1. Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center

The Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center is dedicated to the identification, preservation, and perpetuation of our region's rich cultural heritage, through academic studies, educational programs, festivals, performances, and publications, along with containing two minors in Folklore and Museum Studies under the College of Liberal Arts. Named for alumni Frank and Jane Gabor, when the facility was known as Colonial Apartments, it housed Dr. Ruth Ann Musick, a primary West Virginia folklore scholar, specializing in supernatural legends. It is thought that Musick still visits the building on a regular basis. Originally the Kennedy Dairy Barn, the facility and surrounding gardens were named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
