    1. John E. Fogarty Reading Room

The John E. Fogarty Reading Room is the research space for using materials from the Providence College Archives and Special Collections. Students, faculty, staff, and community members can visit the PC ASC reading room to work with our manuscript collections and rare books as well as to explore college history and much more! The room is named after U.S. Congressman John E. Fogarty who represented Rhode Island for over 25 years. His family generously donated his papers to the college in 1967 and this purpose-built room was included in the design of the new library, which opened in 1969.
