Orchard North and South apartment buildings are on Lower Campus, near the Dana Athletic Center and athletic fields. Orchard North is operated as "substance-free" housing, which means residents agree not to possess any alcohol or tobacco products in their apartment or on their floor. In both buildings, there are study lounges on each floor, a laundry room, and central air and central vacuum.
Students from sophomores to seniors call Orchard home. Both buildings offer three-bedroom apartments, housing five people each; there are 12 apartments in Orchard North and 27 in Orchard South, with 195 residents in all. This is a popular choice for Bentley athletes because of its proximity to the athletic facilities. A pedestrian bridge crossing over Beaver Street gives students safe access to Upper Campus.
One of the great things about having a laptop and access to the Bentley network is that you can do research on the Internet from the comfort of your apartment. All on-campus residence halls have port-per-pillow wiring, which means both you and your roommate can plug in at the same time.
