    1. Harrington House

Harrington House (formerly known as the "Hammond Homestead") was built by Jonathan Hammond in 1785, the year of his marriage. The property has changed hands many times over the years, becoming part of the Lyman Estate in 1815, when Theodore Lyman bought the house from Jonathan Hammond's heirs.

In 1870, Samuel Dennis Warren, founder of the S.D. Warren Paper Mill Company, purchased the house and used it as a home for his foreman. Mr. Warren's daughter, Cornelia, operated one of Massachusetts' earliest known kindergarten classes out of the home in the early 1900s. Eventually, however, a Harrington returned to Harrington House: Mr. Joseph Harrington, his wife and their nine children occupied the home during the 1960s.

Today, Harrington House is home base for Bentley's Purchasing Department and Planning and Construction personnel.
