The Student Place of Action, Culture, and Empowerment (The SPACE) offers individualized support and advocacy, coaching, programming, and other opportunities to be engaged at Western. The Department of Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement is housed within this area. This department also provides volunteer opportunities for Western students and free, educational events and services for the community.
The physical space offers a relaxing atmosphere to socialize, meet new folks, and study. They offer board games, free printing, snacks, and coffee.
The SPACE is temporarily located in the Learning Commons and 2nd floor conference room in the Student Success Center (Room 212) while their normal home in Kumm Center is under construction.
