When you're doing research, the Bentley Library is a great resource center. The library offers a multitude of remote-access information services, such as LEXIS/NEXIS, Dow Jones News Retrieval, DIALOG, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Infotrac SearchBank, Corporate Financial Reports, FirstSearch, and the Wall Street Journal online. It also participates in the WEBnet consortium, which allows students to obtain materials housed at several other area colleges.
The library serves as a beautiful backdrop each May for undergraduate and graduate Commencement. Students and their families fill the Upper Quad for the ceremonies, which feature renowned speakers from around the country. The 2005 Commencement speaker was James H. Quigley, CEO, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. Past speakers include R. Marcelo Claure, the founder, chairman, CEO and president of Brightstar Corporation, Barry and Eliot Tatelman, chief executive officer and president, respectively, of Jordan's Furniture, Elizabeth Dole, Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), and Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.
Online access is the name of the game in education today. From your dorm room and other spots on campus, you can electronically access library assets and the full range of Internet resources from your laptop.
