Members of the Campus Police Department take a proactive approach to safeguarding the campus community and promoting security awareness. Initiatives include a Safety Escort Service, educational programs in residence halls, and training in CPR, self-defense and standard first-aid. Officers patrol buildings and campus grounds; provide assistance in case of illness, accident or emergency; and ensure compliance with college rules and procedures.
All visitors to campus have immediate access to Campus Police via red emergency phones located across campus. In an emergency, simply pick up the receiver and the telephone will automatically ring at Campus Police
Strategically placed camera equipment is used to survey many parking lots and public areas on campus. The signals provided by these cameras can be routinely monitored and taped at the Bentley Police station.
