      1. West District Energy Plant (WDEP)

         Address: 1100 18th Street 
         Description: The Power House was built using sandstone in a Collegiate Gothic style similar to Macky Auditorium. It was retrofitted to be a cogeneration facility, using one source of fuel to generate two types of power. The Power House has been undergoing renovations as part of CU's campus utility system project, which aims to produce both steam and electrical power using natural gas, and to reduce carbon emissions.
