      At the turn of the 21st century, the Colleges' identified enhanced academic space as a priority to maximize our 11-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio by promoting interaction among instructors and students. With intermingled state-of-the-art classrooms and faculty offices, Stern Hall enhances and encourages this engagement. Stern Hall houses the politics, anthropology/sociology, economics and Asian studies departments. It is equipped with technologically advanced classrooms and provides 27,000 square feet of new academic space including classrooms, research and seminar rooms, Asian studies laboratory and a large classroom and lab. Seminar Rooms, at 400 square feet, provide seating for 16 and serve as ideal places for gatherings that require active discussion and information-sharing.
