Lucero Hall
Completed in July 2009, Lucero Hall has space for 304 students. The hall offers five or six-bed suites in the west wing and six-bed apartments in the north wing. Lucero Hall offers a study lounge, computer lab, a community room, laundry rooms on each floor and vending machines. The suites in the hall offer double and single bedrooms, as well as a furnished living-room area and two full bathrooms. The apartments include all of the above plus a full kitchen with full-size refrigerator, stove, and built-in microwave. Note that apartments are reserved for upperclassmen/transfer students only. Upperclassmen Apartment Living: Our Walnut Ridge and Lucero Hall Student Apartments are only open to sophomores and above. We consider our apartments the next step before moving off-campus. Our goal is to assist students creating and sustaining independence. Policies are different than in the halls and there are not as many staff programs or activities. Our apartments are still alcohol and drug-free.
On Friday, March 2, 2018, the hall name was changed from North Avenue to Lucero Hall to recognize a lifetime of advocacy and service to the Grand Junction Community and CMU by Levi and Bernice Lucero
