The University Center, opened October 2010, is a state-of-the-art facility that is home to campus dining services, The Maverick Bookstore Store and fan shop, Student Life, Associated Student Government, student clubs and organizations, student media and offers meeting spaces, lounges, banking services, and more.

University Center Services:
- Information Desk Located inside the main entrance of the University Center, the Info Desk is the campus service counter for information about events, services, and schedules. The desk is open during the University Center's regular hours Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
- Below are a list of Info Desk services: Lost & Found, Grand Valley Transit Passes, Vending Refunds (Coca Cola & Snack), General Parking Questions & Customer Service. Student Faxes (Sending & Receiving)
- Bookstore Services: New and used textbooks, Online store, Book buy back, Maverick merchandise, Gifts and cards. Office supplies
- MAVcard Office: Student ID card/Library card, MAVmoney and Flexmoney, Pre-paid accounts for use across campus, Access into the Dining Hall, Recreation Center, and Residence Halls, Entrance into sporting events, Purchase commuter meal plans.
- Parking Services: To purchase parking permits, pay fines, pick up/drop off appeals forms or general questions. MAVcard, drivers license and license plate information is required to obtain a parking pass. Students living on campus can purchase a Residence Halls pass. Students commuting to campus can purchase a Commuter pass. Pay-to-Park machines accept CMU MAVcard payments. Just deposit money to your Flex Account in the MAVcard Office.

- Inside The University Center: Criterion Student-produced weekly campus newspaper, Horizon Magazine Student-produced magazine, KMSA-FM Radio Student-produced radio station, Campus Design Studio Student-run graphic design operation. Staffed by graphic arts students. Center for Student Involvement (CSI), Cultural Inclusion Council, Associated Student Government, Program Activity Council, Club Advisory Board.
- Campus Security: All Police Services at Colorado Mesa University are provided by the Grand Junction Police Department. The officers that are assigned to the campus have a substation located on campus in the University Center. To report a crime that is an EMERGENCY dial 911 or locate a campus blue light emergency phone; The non-emergency phone number for the GJPD is 970.242.6707.
- Dining Services: Dining Hall: Serves entrees, soups, pizza, grilled sandwiches, and includes a salad bar, sandwich bar, breakfast bar, and dessert bar. Unlimited access with meal plan. Flat Top Grill: Grill, pizza, burgers, breakfast, entrees, Rowdy's convenience store.
