The Crafts House is a cooperative living environment and housing unit, located at the Anthony House on Tufts Medford campus.

The Crafts House is a co-operative living community.  The house residents maintain and operate the crafts center, and cook vegan/vegetarian meals for the community. Being a member of the house means volunteering at the crafts center once a week and carrying out co-op duties (cooking, cleaning, partying).  For more information, read the introduction portion of the application.

The co-op gives you a chance to cook, eat fabulous food, and get out of the Tufts meal plan (co-oping is much cheaper!). Usually we have people baking things at 3:00 in the morning, and there is always someone making something for the house. Everyone in the house has an equal voice, so if you have an issue, or if you can’t make your shift one week, then we fix it together. We really are more of a cohesive “family” than a residence on campus. We feed each other, we are all friends, and we do spend a lot of time with each other. Next semester, we have a few spots open, since some people are going abroad. If you have any more questions, please stop by the house! Also please come by for dinner, we love guests! (This is a VERY good thing to do if you want to apply.) Note that crafty dinners are FREE and you are not expected to bring or do anything except wash your own dishes!
