Location - Carpenter Housel is located ”uphill”, behind Carmichael Hall. Its location places it close to the other uphill residences surrounding the Residential Quadrangle. The house is located directly across the street from Carmichael Dining Hall and is also close to popular off-campus eateries. Carpenter House is a staffed residence hall, with one Resident Assistant.

Rooms - There are fifteen doubles, seven singles and one triple in Carpenter House. All of the rooms have different dimensions. The second floor is all female and the third floor is all male. The beds are all multi-position beds that have eleven height adjustments up to 32 inches with 30 inches of space underneath when raised to a maximum height. The use of solid cinder blocks or any other material, to raise the multi-position beds is prohibited in Carpenter.
Bathrooms - There are two bathrooms on the first floor with two stalls and two showers. The second and third floor, each have a single sex bathroom consisting of one stall and one shower.
Common Areas - A large lounge occupies part of the first floor. It is furnished with tables, chairs, couches, and a television. There is also a Ping Pong table available.
Facilities - Carpenter House has a kitchenette with a stove, refrigerator, and pantries on the ground floor. The two washers and two dryers are also in this area.
