Facilities Management guides K students, faculty and staff in keeping environmentalism as an important part of the College’s Honor Code.
Facilities Management staff helped two students simulate the LEED certification process for the campus’ Fitness and Wellness Center, which opened in October 2016, providing them with relevant, real-world work experience. The college’s recycling program, established in 1992, expands K initiatives to seek a carbon-neutral campus. The college’s composting program keeps about 200 pounds of food waste out of landfills each week.
